F. Teuton (Shanghai) was established as wholly foreign owned enterprise (WFOE) in the Wai Gao Qao free trade zone of Shanghai on 29th November 2002. Its legal form is that of a limited liability company, fully owned by F.Teuton Pte.Ltd. of Singapore. The principal activity is to provide comprehensive procurement and supply services to overseas buyers.

F.Teuton (Shanghai) became the successor of its mother company's representative office which had been providing supplier liaison services since 1998. The company, therefore, inherited specific product know-how in the field of small custom made (OEM) metal parts such as can be made by hot or cold forming, forging, casting, stamping and turning, especially for applications in the construction industry. It has continued and is continuing to improve and develop its procurement capabilities and its quality assurance procedures, and can proudly claim to be a valued supply chain partner to both, overseas buyers and Chinese manufacturers.

Year Milestone
2002 Incorporation in Wai Gao Qao free trade zone of Shanghai as a Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprise being only the second such company to receive permission to trade in and export goods manufactured by third parties in China.
2002/03 A branch office was established in Pudong, the modern city center east of Shanghai's river, and the task of assuming responsibility for the mother company's procurement activities in China was tackled energetically.
2003 In June of this year the first shipment was exported under F.Teuton (Shanghai)'s name. The customer was the mother company in Singapore. Within a year all the mother company's purchases from China were re-directed to be handled by F.Teuton (Shanghai).
2005 The annual turnover surpassed 12 million RMB for the first time. in tandem with the growing turnover the number of employees became more than 20. In December main operations were removed to spacious, new offices at 438 Pudian Road in Pudong which are owned by the F.Teuton group.
2006 The first sales executive was employed marking the beginning of implementation of a new policy under which the company is to sell directly to overseas customers bypassing the mother company in Singapore. The first shipment under this new policy went to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and comprised of aluminum alloy wheels.
2007 With a staff strength of 27 the company's turnover is on track to exceed 20 million RMB.
